Life Coaching
Explore where you are, understand what matters, and decide where you want to go.
Life coaching at Wayfinder offers a structured, nonclinical space to explore those questions.
Individual Life Coaching
One-on-one coaching. Lifestyle and philosophically-oriented.
Coaching, unlike therapy, is intended for those feeling stuck on lost or their life journey but are not in need of clinical therapy.
Not every important question is a mental health concern. Sometimes the challenge is deciding what comes next, making sense of a transition, reconsidering expectations, or figuring out whether the life you're living reflects what you actually want.
The process begins with understanding your circumstances, priorities, assumptions, and goals. From there, the work focuses on identifying possibilities, considering choices, and determining a direction that makes sense for you.

My Broader Perspective to Both Therapy and Coaching
The Wayfinder’s Journey
At the intersection of Jungian psychology and literary and cultural studies lies what is known as The Hero’s Journey. It is predominately used as a framework for writing and interpreting works of fiction, but it has been shown in psychology research to help participants interpret their lives as meaningful.
I have merged aspects of this framework into the abovementioned approaches to create The Wayfinder’s Journey — an integrative framework that helps you understand your challenges and the complex psychological principles undergirding them as part of a larger, lifelong story of growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Life coaching and psychotherapy share an interest in self-understanding, but they serve different purposes.
Life coaching is a nonclinical service focused on personal development, goals, decisions, and life direction. It does not provide mental health diagnosis or treatment.
Psychotherapy is a clinical service for addressing mental health concerns, emotional distress, trauma, and other psychological difficulties. It is considered “healthcare/treatment” and may involve a diagnosis.
Coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy or other mental health care. If your concerns require clinical assessment or treatment, psychotherapy may be more suitable.
Is Coaching the right service for me?
1
Life coaching may be useful when you're:
• Navigating a significant life or career transition
• Reconsidering priorities, expectations, or long-held assumptions
• Trying to clarify personal goals or direction
• Facing a decision and struggling to determine what matters most
• Seeking greater self-understanding and intentional personal development
• Adjusting to a meaningful change or loss and considering what comes next
The focus is not on following a prescribed formula or someone else's definition of success. It is on developing a clearer understanding of your own priorities and making decisions with greater intention.
